High cost of diesel oil is a huge matter, affecting people in every corner of the world. That’s why at Dual Fuel Systems we are not afraid to cross borders and cooperate with clients from distant places. One of the countries we have entered with our product is Nigeria. The local market is very large and at the same time very receptive when it comes to solutions that allow for cost reduction. That is why our system is the perfect answer for their needs.
A country as large and densely populated as Nigeria is a place where industry is developing rapidly. Diesel oil is used in fleets of trucks transporting goods, buses transporting people and machines operating on construction sites, in agriculture and in many various industries. What is also significant for the local market is the fact that over 40% of Nigeria has no access to electricity from power plants and the remaining part struggles with frequent supply interruptions. That’s why almost every building is equipped with a power generator. In the case of companies and larger buildings, these are units powered by diesel fuel.

The introduction of Fuel Fusion to the Nigerian market is an opportunity for the inhabitants of this country to have access to much cheaper electricity, transport and industry. Cost reduction opens up enormous opportunities and allows for further development. Thanks to Fuel Fusion, enterprises will be able to save on fuel and use this money for further development, which will certainly be beneficial for the entire economy. Business is definitely the most interesting in places, where our system brings the greatest benefits to everyone.
Entering such a distant market was not easy, mostly for logistic reasons. Our company is located thousands of kilometres away from Nigeria. It is a country with a very different culture and completely different problems. So it is very difficult to reach local customers from Poland.
How did we reach the group of potential customers? Internet marketing has been helpful. A properly designed and implemented strategy meant that news from Nigeria began to reach our inbox. However, cultural differences turned out to be a problem. The rhythm of life and the approach to how to introduce new technologies by people from Nigeria differ from European standards. This is a huge problem – without in-depth understanding, there is no scope for establishing business contacts.
This is why a visit to Nigeria was a crucial thing. The opportunity to personally get to know this beautiful country and the people who live in allowed us to look at the local market in a completely different way, better understand the entrepreneurs from that region and, as a result, make it easier to reach and communicate with them. Of course, it wasn’t just an obligation. The opportunity to meet in real life with people with whom we had previously only talked via phone and messages was a great adventure and a wonderful, unforgettable experience. The possibility of conversation, learn about their problems and the challenges they face allowed us to adapt our business strategy to the needs of that region, and the opportunity to strengthen ties with local entrepreneurs allowed us to develop great relationships.
In few words – the trip to Nigeria turned out to be a success and a great adventure at the same time. We had the opportunity to have many interesting business meetings, meet wonderful people and see businesses thriving on a market that is so different from ours.
