There are many myths about gas installations for the Diesel engines. One of them says that this system doesn’t work well in passenger cars. Why? Because the system is an investment, which pays off faster the more the vehicle burns and the more it is driven. If we compare typical family car with a truck transporting goods throughout Europe, there are indeed some doubts. However, we should not always generalize like that. In both cases, significant savings and many other benefits are at stake. Therefore, it often turns out that converting a diesel passenger car to gas is a good idea. A perfect example is Renault Fluence from 2010 with a 1.5 DCI engine that meets EURO 4 standards.
Couple of words about Renault Fluence
It is a compact C-segment sedan. First time presented at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. Its production lasted until 2016. It is a very popular vehicle. The car is valued for its comfort, spaciousness and capaciousness. It is also impossible not to notice its elegant silhouette and extensive vehicle equipment.

Fluence was produced in both petrol and diesel versions. The model in which we installed Fuel Fusion is, of course, powered by diesel.
Was the Fuel Fusion installation a good idea?
Of course! It helped to save a lot of money and it gave many other benefits. Fuel Fusion system is the only installation on the market, that lets you generate precise reports about both fuels usage. Thanks to that, you can easily count your savings.

This option allowed us to determine the efficiency of the installation inside Renault. Since the establishment of the installation, the car has been used both in the city and on long journeys. When driving in Diesel mode, Diesel fuel consumption usually reached 7l/100km, after switching to Dual Fuel mode it dropped to 4.5l. When moving on the road, the level of replacing diesel with gas was up to 35%.
Our system also changed the level of fumes emission. At the time of Fluence production, the standard norm was Euro 4. Vehicles covered by it, were much less environmentally friendly, than the models produced today. Fuel Fusion is the solution to this problem. The mixture of diesel and gas burns at a higher temperature than diesel alone, so most of the harmful substances are burned out. In the end – rather old Renault Fluence has become much less harmful to the environment.
The Fuel Fusion assembly also changed the car in terms of power. Simultaneous supply of the car with gas and diesel results in a mixture with a higher energy value. As a result, the engine power increases and the car becomes more dynamic, with a significant reduction in fuel costs. Thanks to that, there was no need to modify the engine by chip tuning.

Did the installation give benefits in the long run?
We installed the Fuel Fusion in this Renault Fluence in 2018 and we know its history to this day. It is a prove that Fuel Fusion can work for a long time and give significant savings. We are proud that our system is durable and reliable. Since the assembly, the car has not had any problems with the installation, combustion system and engine. The installation significantly reduced fuel costs and it satisfied the owner. We are glad that it turned out to be such a success.
