Aggregates (also called power generators) are the main, most common way to obtain electricity, when you can’t get it from the grid. It can work as a temporary solution, just like a full time source of power.

You can choose from generators of different sizes, amounts of power or different kinds of fuel. Among them, there are aggregates with diesel engines. They are highly valued for their reliability and lover operating costs – they burn about 3,5 times less fuel than generators running on gasoline. No wonder diesel aggregates are more popular – especially when it comes to bigger units.

Despite the lower fuel consumption, maintaining power with a generator is quite expensive. For example – 125 kVA generator can consume up to 15 liters of diesel oil during one hour of operation. If we decide on a larger device, 500 kVA of power, we have to take into account the consumption up to 80 liters of diesel fuel. Fortunately, costs can be significantly reduced.

How can you lower the expenses? You just have to install diesel to gas convertion in the power generator. In that case, you can replace some of the burned fuel with a lot cheaper gas. The level of diesel replacement with gas can reach even 50%. It turns into significant savings. What’s more, such a generator will now have two tanks – one with diesel oil and the other with gas – so it will be able to work longer without refueling.

When something disturbing happens in the combustion chamber of the aggregates or exhaust gas temperature increases, the sensor alerts the ECU, which automatically decreases the gas supply. Aggregates with diesel engine are everywhere. You can find them in private houses, garages, workshops, construction sites, even in the offices. Diesel Generators are also common in the gastronomy and food processing industry. In that case, they are powering refrigerators and freezers, protecting food from spoiling.
