Safety is the most important aspect of any gas system. It was our top priority from the beginning, when we were developing Fuel Fusion.<\/strong> We fully understand that other aspects are not important if the installation puts the user, the engine or the surrounding environment on the risk. Savings and other benefits are less important in this context. That’s why we’ve always put the safety first.<\/p>\n<\/div>

A key component in this regard is the EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) sensor<\/strong>. Its task is to measure the temperature of the exhaust gases leaving the engine and entering the exhaust pipe. It is a crucial sensor that provides us with information about the conditions in the combustion chamber. If the exhaust gas temperature increases, it’s a crucial indicator that something is wrong. Therefore, the EGT sensor should be installed as close to the engine as possible to detect any alarming symptoms and send a signal to the controller.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Why is exhaust gas temperature so important?<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Exhaust gas temperature directly depends on the conditions inside the combustion chamber. If the engine is operating properly, the internal temperature will be within normal limits, which will also impact exhaust emissions.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>

If this process is disrupted and not proceeding as expected \u2013 for example, due to an incorrect fuel mixture ratio \u2013 the EGT sensor will be able to quickly detect any problems and will send an appropriate signal to the gas controller. This protects engine components from overheating and prevents any damage.<\/p>\n<\/div>

EGT Sensor Installation<\/h1><\/div>

The sensor\u2019s tip is placed inside the vehicle’s exhaust pipe. To install it, it is need to drill a threaded hole into which the sensor is screwed. The closer the sensor is to the engine, the more accurately its readings will be and show the more accurate the engine condition<\/strong>. Therefore, a threaded hole should be drilled at the beginning of the exhaust pipe.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The other tip of the sensor should be connected to the system’s wiring harness, enabling it to communicate with the Fuel Fusion controller.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
